Vasc. Surg., Rigshospitalet, Denmark. Objectives: Vascular ultrasound provides immediate diagnostic, and may provide clinical important information not obtained by any other imaging modality. Vascular ultrasound is harmless and can be performed bedside. The course is a 50/50% theoretical/hands-on course. During this course, participants will be taught in physics and principles behind vascular ultrasound, ultrasound anatomy and how to perform basic vascular ultrasound examination: abdominal aorta, femoral arteries, peripheral bypasses, basic carotid ultrasound, deep venous thromboses,  varicose veins, basic principles of contrast-enhanced ultrasound and A-V fistula.
