Are you interested in contributing to the future of vascular surgery guidelines while gaining valuable academic and professional experience?
The European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS) is inviting applications from EVST members to join upcoming ESVS Guideline Writing Committees as trainee representatives.
This is a unique opportunity to:
- Gain first-hand experience in international guideline development
- Work alongside leading experts in vascular surgery
- Develop your academic and critical appraisal skills
- Contribute directly to influential European clinical practice guidelines
Each selected EVST representative will participate as a full member of the Writing Committee and contribute to the guideline development process, including literature review, academic discussions, and manuscript preparation.
While there are no strict academic requirements, applicants with previous experience in academic writing and research, as well as a strong interest in the guideline topic, will be at an advantage.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Hold an active EVST membership
- Have experience or a demonstrated interest in the topic of the guideline
- Have at least three first-author publications in original studies or systematic reviews
- Preferably hold, or be undertaking, a PhD

This year, EVST representatives will be appointed to several new ESVS Guideline Writing Committees, including:
- Vascular Imaging
- Vascular Wound Management
- Aortic Dissection
- Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)
- Non-atherosclerotic Popliteal Artery Disease
