About the Project

Physician-Modified Endografts (PMEGs) are used in the management of complex aortic conditions, particularly in situations where standard treatment options may be limited.

 

The ESVS European Research Hub (ERH) is undertaking this initiative to develop a position statement and governance framework with the aim of supporting a consistent and transparent approach to their use.

 

We invite applications to join the Advisory Group for this project. The group will contribute to the development of an ERH-led structured position statement and governance framework. To ensure a balanced and multidisciplinary group, applications are encouraged from vascular specialists, methodologists, patient representatives, PMEG users, and regulatory stakeholders.

Role

Advisory Group members will provide expert input and contribute to discussions, document review, and development of the ERH-led drafting of the position statement.

  1. PMEGs may facilitate treatment in complex scenarios where standard options are limited; however, their current application is highly variable and not yet uniformly standardised. This highlights the importance of establishing clear indications, governance structures, and evidence-based guidance to avoid unstructured use.
