ESVS Library representative for EVST

We are delighted to invite an active member of the EVST to join the ESVS Library Committee and the EVST Council (and EVST Executive Committee), to be the representative link between the two Committees. Your mandate would be 3 years, non-extendable.

The ESVS Library is an ever-evolving digital hub designed to support vascular specialists with on-demand education and expert insights for ESVS Members. From core concepts to advanced procedures, the ESVS Library covers a wide range of vascular disciplines and includes on-demand videos from ESVS events (Webinars, Masterclasses, Annual Meetings and more), podcasts, Virtual Vascular chapters, e-learning courses and other documents.

The European Vascular Surgeons in Training (EVST) represents the interests of trainees in vascular surgery within the European Society for Vascular Surgery, especially with regards to training, education, careers, research and exchange programmes.

The job description of the EVST representative for the ESVS Library includes the following responsibilities:

  • Represent the link between EVST and the ESVS Library, giving a voice to the young vascular surgeons within the ESVS Library in particular with regards to the new courses, materials and project developments

  • Be familiar with social media and e-learning options

  • Have a natural interest in education and be creative in searching for new formats.

  • Dedicate about 1-2 hours per week to tasks, as well as participating in regular teleconferences (up to 1 per month) and one face-to-face meeting, as part of the ESVS Library.

  • Sit on the EVST Executive Committee, attending the related meetings during the term, including EVST Council meetings. Executive Committee meetings are normally ad-hoc, as and when needed whilst Council meetings are 2-3 times per year. One meeting is held during the Annual Meeting of the ESVS. The representative may be asked to prepare some slides and report on recent news or updates.

Please note that EVST membership is mandatory. Previous EVST and National Society involvement (Councillor or other) is an advantage for the application, as are an e-educational background and experience in organising educational events. EVST members at the end of their training are also invited to apply because experience as a trainee and/ or within the EVST can be of benefit. We wish you luck in your application!
