Objective:
The European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS) Academy, in collaboration with the Department of Vascular Surgery at Rigshospitalet, Denmark, invites you to participate in the 2025 edition of the Basic Vascular Ultrasound Course. As a crucial imaging technique in vascular surgery procedures, vascular ultrasound plays a vital role in the field. Â
Â
The objective of this course is to equip participants with the foundational skills needed for basic examinations, including the abdominal aorta, femoral arteries, peripheral bypasses, basic carotid ultrasound, percutaneous access, deep venous thromboses, and varicose veins. This course corresponds to the curriculum of the theoretical curriculum of EFSUMB Level 1 in Vascular Ultrasound (European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology). Â
Â
Participants will have the chance to practice their skills through hands-on sessions, guided by expert supervisors, ensuring they’re well-prepared for future exams like the CCVUS at the ESVS Annual Meeting in Istanbul in 2025. Throughout the course, online quizzes and assessments will help reinforce learning and full attendance is required to earn the certificate.Â
Â
This course is a fantastic opportunity for surgeons looking to build their expertise in vascular surgery training and take the next step in their cardiovascular surgery education journey.
