October is one of the most pleasant months to visit Belgrade, offering mild autumn temperatures and a comfortable atmosphere for sightseeing and outdoor activities. During this period, daytime temperatures typically range between 15°C and 22°C, while evenings are cooler, averaging around 8°C to 12°C.

In Belgrade, the official currency is the Serbian Dinar (RSD). Cash is widely used for day-to-day transactions. ATMs are available throughout the city, allowing visitors to withdraw dinars using major credit or debit cards. When using foreign currency, such as euros or US dollars, it’s advisable to exchange them for dinars at official exchange offices or banks to get the best rates.
CREDIT CARDS
Credit and debit cards are also widely accepted in larger stores, restaurants, and hotels, particularly those catering to tourists. Many places in Serbia now accept contactless payment methods like Apple Pay, Google wallet etc… Taxis typically require cash payment, unless you are ordering it through a taxi application on your phone.

Belgrade’s extensive public transport network includes buses, trams, and trolleybuses. It covers over 100 routes across the city. As of January 2025, the city has introduced free public transport, allowing delegates can easily travel across the city, including to and from Sava Centar, our conference venue. No ticket purchases are necessary.
Exceptions: express “E” minibus services and the A1 airport shuttle are not included in the free system and remain paid services.
There are multiple convenient connections around the conference venue area. The Sava Centar bus stop (Milentija Popovića Street) is directly in front of the main entrance and is served by several lines.
For route planning and line maps, visit the official public transport website, GSP Belgrade.
Taxis are widely available and offer a quick way to reach Sava Centar. We recommend using official, licensed taxi services only.
