Objective: This workshop is designed for healthcare professionals who already have initial experience in Below-The-Knee interventions for Perripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) and are aiming to elevate their experience. The focus will be on advanced technologies employed in Below-The-Knee interventions, encompassing the use of guidewires, balloons, atherectomy devices, microstents, the retrograde approach, Optical Coherence Tomography, and Fractional Flow Reserve in BTK interventions. The comprehensive agenda extends to patient assessment, facilitating the selection of appropriate interventions, and emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach, fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals engaged in below-the-knee interventions. Strategies for managing complications during and post-procedures will be discussed. Hands-on training using wet models will be provided for mastering endovascular techniques. Real-life cases related to below-the-knee PAD interventions will be analysed, showcasing the discussed techniques in practical scenarios. This workshop is in line with the educational standards of the ESVS Academy and follows the latest vascular surgery guidelines to ensure best practices. It is a great opportunity to advance your expertise with support from vascular experts and gain access to specialised support. Â
Target audience: This course is designed for healthcare professionals performing endovascular procedures in vascular surgery. Experience in below the knee interventions is required. This programme is ideal for those looking to strengthen their expertise in vascular surgery procedures.

Registration and Cancellation policy: € 350 for ESVS members and € 450 for non-members. Registration includes course material, lunch and a dinner. Transport, accommodation and additional meals are not included. Please note that the course is dependent on final registration numbers. The final decision of whether the course will be conducted is announced on the website no later than one calendar month before the course starts. Travel and accommodation must therefore not be booked until this message is given – ESVS is not financially responsible if the event has to be cancelled due to low numbers, in this timeframe. For cancellations received by participants more than one calendar month before the event, a refund will be given less an administration fee of 10 EUR. For cancellations received after this, no refund is possible. Participants are advised that photographs and video recordings will be going on during the course.
