Vascular surgery is one of the most dynamic specialities in contemporary medicine, and assiduous medical research, responding to the increasing incidence of vascular diseases, generates new therapeutic agents, methods and technologies at an overwhelming pace. The continuous training of vascular surgeons in the use of these technologies thus becomes one of the characteristics of our profession and represents one of the major objectives of the Romanian Society of Vascular Surgery. No effort is too great if it facilitates training in modern and effective techniques, which can then be applied to our patients.
