European Vascular Surgeons in Training (EVST)
What is the EVST?
The European Vascular Surgeons in Training (EVST) represents the interests of trainees in vascular surgery within the European Society for Vascular Surgery, especially with regards to training, education, careers, research and exchange programmes. As an EVST member, you are part of the EVST family in the Society. You can find all activities and initiatives for trainees on these pages, many of which are heavily subsidised by the Society, as part its’ commitment to trainee development.

Online Journal Club
An interactive virtual space where vascular specialists discuss recent research papers and foster critical thinking and collaborative learning.
The sessions take place every month and participation is free.

Discover accredited centres collaborating with EVST and connect with leading vascular specialists across Europe.
These institutions have agreed to consider giving EVST members the possibility to spend a period of time training in these centres.
The list of contacts from European Training Centres is available upon request to info@esvs.org.
In addition, ESVS regularly offers educational travel grants that can be used to support such placements (conditions apply).
EVST Councillor
Conference Grant
A travel and accommodation grant up to €500 for EVST Councillors or EVST ExCo members to attend national or international conferences, with the aim of increasing visibility of the EVST and ESVS. In 2026, 6 such grants are available.
