ESVS Programme Committee Member (2 Positions)

We are pleased to invite applications for two new members to join the ESVS Programme Committee, a key group shaping the scientific direction of the ESVS Annual Meeting.

About the Programme Committee

The ESVS Annual Meeting is the highlight of our year – positioning the Society as a leading scientific and training organisation within the vascular community, and offering a dynamic, modern and interactive platform for the ESVS family to gather, connect, exchange ideas and shape the future of vascular surgery together.

The Programme Committee is the group shaping the scientific heartbeat of the Meeting. Working closely with the ESVS Office and leadership, the PC ensures a high-quality, relevant, and forward-looking programme.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of the Programme Committee, you will:

  • Contribute to the development of the Annual Meeting scientific content
  • Define topics, sessions, and programme structure
  • Identify and propose speakers, chairs, and faculty
  • Support the invitation process via the ESVS Office
  • Contribute to abstract strategy and categories
  • Participate in the review and selection of abstracts (oral and e-poster)
  • Provide required input for accreditation processes (e.g. EACCME)
  • Collaborate on the finalisation of the programme

What We Expect

  • Availability of approximately 1–2 hours every two weeks
  • Participation in regular online meetings (CET/CEST time zones)
  • Attendance at 1–2 in-person meetings per year in Europe
  • Active engagement in discussions and decision-making
  • Commitment to a 3-year term
  • This is a voluntary role

  • A short statement outlining your motivation and relevant experience
  • Any other supporting documents providing evidence of previous relevant experience

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview in late May / early June.

Timeline

Application deadline: 15 May 2026

Interviews: Late May / early June 2026

Start of term: The selected candidates will begin their 3-year term at the conclusion of this year’s Annual Meeting.
