Objective: This workshop will briefly cover the anatomy and pathology of TOS in general. We will focus on the management of the different types of TOS and what the current controversies are. In conclusion the future perspectives of treatment and follow-up will be shared.

The thoracic outlet syndrome is a rare and difficult to detect condition, but can lead to serious chronic and disabling complaints. Early recognition and adequate treatment is key. Therefore knowledge on its anatomy, pathophysiology, and different clinical presentation per type of TOS is essential to recognize this syndrome at an early stage and to have a better understanding of which diagnostic modality and treatment option is useful. By attending this course, you will learn the anatomy, pathophysiology, epidemiology and clinical presentation of the thoracic outlet syndrome in general and its clinical subtypes. The different diagnostic and therapeutic options will be thoroughly explained and illustrated by cases. The aim is to provide a greater understanding of how to detect, diagnose and treat TOS and give insight in the current controversies and new perspectives of TOS management.

Target audience: The course is designed for vascular and radiologic specialists with a basic knowledge level of TOS in general and an intermediate knowledge level of vascular imaging, antithrombotic treatment, and endovascular interventions.

Registration and Cancellation policy: € 25 for ESVS members and € 30 for non-members. Please note that the course is dependent on final registration numbers. Where registration numbers are too low to run the course, this will be announced on the website no later than 48 hours before the course starts. For cancellations received more than 10 days before the event, a refund will be given less an administration fee of EUR10. For cancellations received less than 5 days before the event, no refund is possible. Please be aware that the online session will be recorded and may be used by the ESVS on our website, social media and in the e-library.
