Programme description: As complex aortic endovascular repair (EVAR) with fenestrated and branched endografts (F/B-EVAR) becomes the first-line treatment for pararenal and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms, there is an increasing need for a deeper understanding of the indications, planning, and technical execution of these procedures. This intensive workshop is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the available options for the treatment of complex aortic pathologies using fenestrated and branched stent-grafts.

Participants will benefit from:

  • In-depth lectures delivered by international experts, focusing on:
    • Patient selection and appropriate indications
    • Detailed pre-procedural planning and device customization
    • Step-by-step procedural execution, including tips, tricks, and bailout strategies for intraoperative challenges
  • Case-based discussions and review of recorded live cases
  • Hands-on simulator sessions to reinforce practical understanding and procedural skills

To ensure close interaction and personalised mentorship from the faculty, participation is limited to 15 attendees (first-come, first-served).

Topics:  FEVAR for short-neck, juxtarenal or suprarenal AAA; F/BEVAR for Thoracoabdominal Aortic Aneurysms; Case Discussions – Detailed Planning; Hands On Workshops – Simulators; Recorded LIVE Cases.

Learning objectives: Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Define the indications and contraindications for F/B-EVAR in pararenal and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms.
  2. Interpret preoperative imaging to guide patient selection and stent-graft design.
  3. Develop customised endograft plans, including fenestration and branch configurations based on aortic and visceral anatomy.
  4. Apply step-by-step technical strategies for safe and effective procedure execution.
  5. Recognise and manage intraoperative and postoperative complications, including bail-out techniques.
  6. Implement organizational and workflow strategies essential for a fully functional complex aortic program.
