This session offers a focused, practice-oriented update on the current and emerging treatment strategies for critical limb-threatening ischaemia (CLTI), bringing together guideline-based insights, clinical experience and innovation. Through clinical cases from Europe and the US, faculty will illustrate how ESVS and SVS guidelines are applied in real life, while additional talks will explore the incidence and treatment of CLTI in South Africa, the role of best medical therapy, the true value of the “woundosome” concept and the future of robotic-assisted interventions. Designed to be highly practical and interactive, it will provide vascular specialists with concrete, evidence-informed take-home messages for optimising limb salvage in diverse healthcare settings.
