The VASCUNET committee carries out its activity within 6 working groups.  Their objective is to initiate and promote lines of research and projects within their area of knowledge. Each group develops the necessary strategies to make projects progress and make them accessible to the rest of the vascular scientific community.

PAD Group

Coordinator: Birgitta Sigvant

PAD Group focus its attention on identifying areas of knowledge to be improved in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients with lower limb ischemia.

Carotid Group

Coordinator: Riikka Tulamo
The objective of the Carotid Group is to promote research activities in patients with carotid disease to establish the best medical therapy, the need for a carotid intervention and the modification of risk factors that could lead to a better quality of life.

Aortic Group

Coordinator: Kevin Mani

This group studies the treatment of the Aortic Pathology in order to evaluate the quality of the clinical assistance to improve patient outcomes, patient safety and academic research.

Registry Validation Group

Coordinator: Martin Altreuther
This working group collaborates in the external validation of vascular registries to improve their quality that can contribute to our scientific and clinical knowledge.

Venous Group

Coordinator: Gabor Menyhei
This group is created with the intention of giving greater visibility to the work that many vascular surgeons carry out in the field of venous diseases through the research of techniques and analysis of outcomes.

Vascular Access Group

Coordinator: Cristina López Espada
In this group collaborate vascular surgeons with an interest in vascular access to promote research activities in this field with the aim of improving the attention and care of patients with advanced renal failure.
