On behalf of the European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS), it is our pleasure to welcome you to the ESVS 38th Annual Meeting in Kraków. Below you will find some practical information that will be useful before you arrive in Kraków as well as information which will be handy during your stay. We are looking forward to welcoming you!

How to get to the conference venue?

The ICE Kraków Congress Centre is conveniently situated in the heart of Kraków, right across from Wawel Castle and close to a major transport hub. Whether you are arriving from Kraków Airport, the train or bus stations, or any part of the city, reaching the venue is easy.

Parking & Transportation Options

The Meeting Venue offers multiple transport options, including ground-level parking, a bus stop, bicycle parking, and a two-story underground garage with space for 329 cars.

Public Transport

For a more sustainable travel option, we encourage you to use public transport. The nearest stop is just 50 meters from the Meeting Venue. With direct bus and tram connections from the Main Railway Station (Dworzec Główny), your journey will take no more than 20 minutes. Please use the public transportation stop: RONDO GRUNWALDZKIE. To be reached by the following bus and tram lines:

Each badge from the ESVS 38th Annual Meeting includes a sticker granting free access to all public transportation in Kraków during conference days upon displaying the badge.

Badge Retrieval and Registration Desk

Once you arrive at the venue, proceed to the Registration Desk to receive your name badge. Please bring your passport or ID card with you. Remember that wearing your name badge is mandatory and it must be worn visibly at all times. Please plan to arrive in advance to avoid queuing.

Speaker Service Centre (SSC)

The Speaker Service Centre (SSC) is connected to the Fast-Track and Plenary Sessions rooms. Speakers who will be presenting in these rooms are asked to hand in their PowerPoint presentations at the SSC at least 60 minutes before the start of their presentation, the day before the first session in the morning. The SSC opening hours are:

ESVS Charity Run: Run for Progress

ESVS Mission ‘Ethiopia’ Join us in enhancing vascular healthcare in Ethiopia! ‘ESVS Mission: Ethiopia’ is a charity run organized to raise funds for sending expert vascular surgeons from the European Society of Vascular Surgery (ESVS) to Ethiopia. Your support will help us share life-saving techniques and knowledge, significantly improving vascular care for communities in need. Run with us, donate, and help circulate hope and health!

Useful information for the ESVS Charity Run participants
Thank you for signing up for the ESVS Charity Run in support of ESVS Mission Ethiopia. If you haven’t registered for the Charity Run yet, but wish to join, you can still sign up by logging back into your registration. The fee is €25, which will directly fund the Mission Ethiopia project. Participants will receive an ESVS run T-shirt.

Please find some useful information below:

•Registration closes Tuesday, 24th of September, at 15:00 CEST or until tickets sell out. Charity Run tickets are limited.
•Please visit the Run Office located in front of the ICE Krakow Congress Centre on Tuesday, 24th of September between 16:00-18:00 to confirm your attendance, collect your running package and sign the declaration of health.
•After collecting the package, we invite you to make your way to the run starting point. A map of the run can be found here. From 18:00 – 18:10 there will be a walk to the starting point to warm up.
•A warm-up sponsored by Artivion will take place at 18:10 CEST.
•The run starts at 18:20 CEST.

•At 19.00 a trophy will be given to the 3 fastest participants.

Welcome reception
On Wednesday, 25th of September, from 17:30 to 19:00, all attendees are invited to the red carpeted area (Level 2) of ICE Kraków for an evening of networking and camaraderie. Indulge in a delightful selection of gourmet bites, from savory bagels and tartines to vegan options, paired with a variety of beverages including fine wines, beer, and refreshing juices. This reception is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow participants and kick off the conference in style. Don’t miss out on this exclusive event!

City tours
City tours will be offered on Monday, 23rd of September, from 16:00 to 18:00, and on Friday, 27th of September from 14:00 to 16:00. Participants can choose between two guided walking tours on both days:
1.Old Town of Kraków Walking Tour (ends in old town, 25 min walk from ICE Krakow)
2. Jewish Heritage Tour in Kazimierz (ends in Plac Nowy, 20 min walk from ICE Krakow)

Make sure you reserve a spot by registering online or by visiting the Registration desk.
Please note that access to the city tour is reserved exclusively for delegates holding a valid city tour ticket. All tours will start from the main entrance of ICE Krakow. Delegates should be arrive 15 minutes before the start time.

Networking dinner
A special networking dinner will take place on the evening of Thursday, 26th of September, from 19:00 to 00:30, at Stara Zajezdnia Kraków. This event is designed to offer a unique opportunity for delegates to connect, unwind, and enjoy a memorable evening in a lively and engaging atmosphere. The dinner will be themed around the vibrant energy of Las Vegas, promising a night filled with glamour, excitement, and entertainment. Please note that access to the networking dinner is reserved exclusively for delegates holding a valid networking dinner ticket.

Wellbeing lounge
Take a break from the conference buzz and unwind in our Wellbeing lounge on level 2. A peaceful retreat where you can relax and recharge. Designed as a quiet escape, the Wellbeing lounge invites you to slow down, and enjoy a moment of calm of today’s activities.

Conference library
The conference library is part of the Wellbeing lounge where you can take a break, read and share your favorite books with other delegates. Bring your own book that you would like to swap, donate or just give others the opportunity to read your favorite book.
All the books that are left on Friday, 27th of September will be donated to the Multicultural Center for Foreigners in Krakow.

Food and Beverages

Coffee/tea breaks and lunches are served from Tuesday to Friday. For detailed menus, ask the catering staff.
Dietary restrictions indicated by participants during online registration have been communicated to the caterer. Dietary instructions are also indicated on the menu cards. Vegetarian options are always available at the buffet. For any questions about specific ingredients or special diets, please ask the catering staff.
