SUMMARY:JSVS 54th Annual Meeting in Osaka\, Japan
DESCRIPTION:The Japanese Society for Vascular Surgery’s mission is to explore the best procedure for each patient. This annual meeting will be held to discuss the way to achieve the best at the frontline. \nThe topics of the JSVS meeting include the aorta from the aortic root\, the peripheral artery\, the vein\, and the lymphatic vessels. Both “open” surgery and endovascular intervention are discussed along with medical therapy. \nThis meeting also aims to promote internationalisation. Though many Japanese vascular surgeons joined the congress in the United States\, European countries\, and Asian countries\, we welcome only a few international guests to the Japanese congress because the presentation in Japanese is hard to understand. To elucidate this issue\, the AI translator (POCKETALK) will be utilised in more than half of all oral presentations for translation from Japanese to English and English to English captions.

SUMMARY:Beaumont Diabetic Foot Symposium 2026
DESCRIPTION:Diabetic foot disease is an increasingly prevalent and complex challenge across Europe and internationally\, with significant implications for vascular surgery practice. Patients with diabetes are at markedly increased risk of peripheral arterial disease\, ulceration\, and major limb amputation. Effective management requires timely vascular assessment and revascularisation\, integrated within a coordinated multidisciplinary framework. \nIn response to these challenges\, we established a multidisciplinary symposium aimed at bringing together key stakeholders in diabetic foot care\, including vascular surgeons\, interventional radiologists\, diabetologists\, infectious disease specialists\, podiatrists\, and specialist nurses.
