The European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS) is looking for a motivated member to lead the Podcast Committee, a consolidated and popular ESVS educational activity. The length of the term will be 3 years, from January 2026.

Who can apply?

ESVS members who have an interest and experience in communication and education. Experience and skills in audio formats, script writing, interview lead and audio editing will be much valued but are not a mandatory requirement. Leadership skills and enthusiasm in teamwork are of great importance.

The level of English, both oral and written, of the applicant must be high. Experience, skill and interest in Social Media interaction will also be valued.

What is expected from you?

You will be involved in coordinating the committee’s monthly schedule, discussing and deciding on topics for podcasts, script writing, podcast recording and editing, together with the rest of the team members. You will also be expected to engage in Social Media interaction to showcase the released podcasts.

The Podcast Committee is a dynamic and diverse team. As Chair, you will be expected to lead and manage the Committee’s activities according to the ESVS mission, i.e. to further improve vascular science and practice for the public benefit. Positive leadership, enthusiasm, commitment and team building are expected. In addition, your innovative ideas will be sought after to further develop the podcast activities.

As a consequence, this assignment is considerably time-consuming. There is no remuneration linked to this activity.

Timeline:

Deadline to submit your application is the 30th September 2025, at 23:59 CEST.

Shortlisted applicants will be able to present themselves to the Podcast Committee at a Zoom interview that will take place in October 2025.

Once the final selection has been made, the result will be communicated to all candidates by the end of October 2025. The work will begin with a run-in phase, starting in November 2025.
