The European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS) is proud to announce the launch of the ESVS Aortic Fellowship Programme, a comprehensive educational opportunity designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of vascular surgeons in the field of aortic surgery.

This fellowship programme is ideal for both vascular trainees and experienced vascular surgeons seeking to refine their expertise in treating complex aortic diseases.

What is the Aortic Fellowship?

What Does the Fellowship Offer?

The ESVS Aortic Fellowship Programme provides a unique learning experience through a combination of:

  • Face-to-Face Workshops: Participate in seven workshops covering a wide range of aortic surgery topics, from basic techniques to complex endovascular procedures. These workshops will be held across various European cities.
  • Online Workshops: Gain additional insights through six to eight convenient online workshops, featuring lectures by leading experts and interactive sessions.
  • Clinical Placement: Apply what you learned in a real-world setting with a two-week placement in a high-volume aortic centre. The ESVS will provide a pre-approved list of centers to choose from.
  • ESVS Certificate: Upon successful completion, receive a prestigious ESVS certificate acknowledging your participation in this rigorous aortic surgery educational programme.
  • Mentorship and Networking: Benefit from regular informal chats with aortic KOLs and other fellows, fostering valuable mentorship and networking opportunities.

Investing in Your Future

The ESVS Aortic Fellowship Programme has a programme fee of €10,500. Fellows can choose to self-fund their participation or apply for a competitive ESVS Fellowship Grant. Grant recipients may also receive up to €3,500 to assist with travel and accommodation for face-to-face workshops. Each workshop will seek CME accreditation.
