Open Call for Academy Workshop Convenors for ESVS Annual Meetings

The ESVS is pleased to open a call for applications for faculty, to take part in the Academy workshops for Annual Meetings. This new call reflects the Society’s desire to widen and diversify the pool of faculty we rely on, to give the opportunity to those people who may not already be known by the ESVS for various reasons, and to grow our expert network (no need to apply if you have worked with the ESVS in the past). We would also like to encourage junior members or rising stars to apply.

The next Annual Meeting takes place in Istanbul 23rd to 26th September. All you need is enough skills and experience in any of the topics covered and a desire to teach. Please apply if you are willing to share tips and tricks and to teach in small groups, at the Annual Meeting.

Every year, the ESVS Academy recruits around 100 faculty members to support multiple workshops. In return, we offer limited, but scaled coverage of expenses, depending on how many commitments each person undertakes. For 2025, the decision on this benefits structure is yet to be made and will be communicated to invited faculty, once known.

Your application does not guarantee a place in a workshop, but you could become involved according to the goals and scope of the workshops, as well as the dynamics of the faculty team as a whole.

Applications will be reviewed by the ESVS Academy and you may be invited to sessions over the coming months. To get an idea of how to prepare for these sessions, you can refer to last year’s instructions here.
